Certification Description
The NAPNES Certified in Pharmacology (NCP) credential certifies that a licensed practical nurse (LPN)/licensed vocational nurse (LVN) has achieved a level of knowledge above the minimum standard required for licensure. LPNs/LVNs with this credential have advanced knowledge in areas of pharmacology such as medication dosage calculation, IV fluid rates, potential adverse and allergic reactions and medication safety precautions.
LPNs/LVNs with this credential may have additional job duties and career opportunities that other LPNs/LVNs may not be eligible for.
